That's exactly how Nat was about crawling or standing up. If you looked, she would act all coy, like she couldn't do it, but if she thought you weren't looking, she'd just go for it.

I'm glad you have a boy acting that way. I thought maybe somehow I was teaching her to be all girlie and faux helpless!

This is the first time I read your blog, and I love this post. My youngest is almost 16 mos. and not walking alone yet, and people are starting to talk. I am very encouraged by your strategy and outlook! I am going to try some of your tricks. Punkin walks two or three steps alone, but would rather crawl. I am sure it is just going to take him a few more weeks/months, but still... it is something to watch (or ignore...) as they say. I'm going to blogline you OK?
